Black Child National Agenda

To kick off Black History Month, you are invited to an upcoming webinar with the Equity Research Action Coalition at University of North Carolina's Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute.

Presenters will discuss the Black Child National Agenda, an ambitious plan that calls for action to dismantle structural racism and systemic inequities that have negative impacts on Black children’s school and life success. Join us for a strengths-based conversation that lifts up Black babies and their cultural assets.

The presentation will:

  • Give insights into the key action items of the Black Child National Agenda and how it serves as a blueprint for local and state coalitions' mobilization efforts;

  • Provide messaging guidance on the agenda and opportunities to amplify the policy recommendations at the local and state level; and

  • Provide recommendations on keeping racial equity at the center of prenatal-to-three issues

When: Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 2 p.m. ET

Speakers:

  • Dr. Iheoma U. Iruka, Founder, Equity Research Action Coalition

  • Dr. Leah Austin, CEO and President, National Black Child Development Institute

  • Jack Shonkoff, Director, Center on the Developing Child, Harvard University

  • Amy Secrist, Prenatal to Three Program Coordinator, City of Baltimore
