Increasing America’s Child Care Supply

A new report released by the Center for American Progress’ (CAP) Early Childhood team, “Increasing America’s Child Care Supply,” examines the unique needs of the families of infant and toddlers, and emphasizes the average salary for infant or toddler classroom teachers. CAP’s new brief analyzes the devastating impact a failure to expand funding for the CCDBG would have on an already overstretched workforce, and offers recommendations for how states can leverage CCDBG funding to maintain and increase supply in their child care sectors, supporting families and providers alike.
