Head Start and Early Head Start programs are strategically positioned to see to the needs of families experiencing homelessness, including the need for direct housing assistance. The Connecticut pilot program has shown tremendous results in its first year, including successfully housing families by putting housing vouchers directly into the hands of Head Start programs.
