1.      Could you please share the name of your program along with its mission?

The Parents’ Place of MD – PPMD envisions communities where all families and children with disabilities and special healthcare needs live their lives to their fullest potential.

Our mission is to empower families as advocates and partners in improving education and health outcomes for children with disabilities ad special healthcare needs with a commitment to diversity and equity.

2.      What programming or services are offered to the individuals you work with?

We offer a myriad of services and supports – one on one assistance to families, topical training, leadership training, resources thru our website, our YouTube channel, and FB

3.      How does your organization identify individuals that you work with?

We work with any family who contacts our organization. We do not have any eligibility requirements.  If a family needs help we figure out a way to make it happen.  Through one on one assistance, sharing of resources, referral to other community supports, training, etc.

4.      Who can access your program/services? Is a referral required?

Anyone can access our services either by calling and leaving a voice mail or go on to our website and enter their information in our online help referral form.

5.      Where are your services provided (online, in-person, both)?

Both

6.      Is this a local or statewide service?

We are statewide but do have staff in our harder to reach regions of the state – the Eastern Shore, Southern MD, and Western MD with the rest of our team serving central MD.

7.      How can someone learn more about your program/service?

The best way is to go to our website www.ppmd.org
