SchoolHouse Connection and Poverty Solutions at the University of Michigan have released a timely report analyzing data from 20 states that have formed broad-based coalitions to move prenatal-to-three priorities forward. The report, titled: “Infants and Toddlers Experiencing Homelessness: Prevalence and Access to Early Learning in Twenty States,” describes the prevalence of homelessness among infants and toddlers in these states. It also glaringly reveals the gaps in access to early childhood programs and offers recommendations for increasing enrollment and support, along with several recommended action steps for early childhood programs and providers, federal and state agencies, and Congress.
